The causes of instabilities in the flow liquid / liquid are varied: gradient viscosity, density, velocity between the two phases and the interfacial tension. It is the study of these instabilities in both the free surface configuration that load which will be essential to our research project during the next four years, with specific consideration of the presence of salt (marine) in one phase and a complex rheological behavior for the other phase (fluid-intrusive).
